Our mission is to advance education quality through high quality research, meaningful capacity building and interdisciplinary collaboration that empower individuals, leaders and institutions to address challenges with empathy and evidence. Through dialogue and diverse perspectives, we seek to cultivate a culture of innovation, leadership and lifelong learning/ a mindset inclined toward innovation, an attitude of leadership and a culture of lifelong learning.
Full Potential Initiative
CILL is a core partner of the Full Potential initiative being implemented in Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica. Led by Raise Your Voice Saint Lucia, and with the support of the Balsillie School of International Affairs, the Full Potential program aims to improve equity and inclusion in schools so that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our CILL team in leading professional development activities with teachers, principals and administrators and provides training and coaching on education innovation and innovation management so educators can develop and scale effective new solutions.
Caribbean Research Ethics Board
We believe that high quality research is important to transforming teaching and learning. Caribbean-based research is needed to examine the education sector, and other social service spheres, within the unique context of the Caribbean. In support of high quality research, CILL offers a research ethics review service. The Caribbean Research Ethics Board (CaribREB) is a team of experienced scholars who will review planned processes to ensure studies meet the highest standard of ethical treatment of participants. The CaribREB research approval meets the requirements of external funders requiring an independent ethics review.
